1. What equipment do you use?
I mainly work with my Canon Rebel XTi. I am capable of using any means necessary to capture images, including various other camera brands, point-and shoot as well as film cameras. I have a variety of lenses for different situations, as well as several different tripods and a monopod.
2. How do you light your images?
I do prefer natural light, but I have a Canon Speedlite as well as an umbrella and multi-coloured reflector. Natural light photography comes off, let’s face it, a lot more natural and creates a much more realstic image.
3. What programs do you use?
I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop, ACDSee Pro and Corel Painter. Photoshop is my go-to program in my post-production workflow.
4. Do you have an assistant or second shooter?
My husband Daniel is my assistant at the moment, he helps me with transport, set up, and taking photos with a second camera body when necessary.
5. Do you have any formal training?
I am currently enrolled with the New York Institute of Photography through correspondense. It is my hope to return to college and take a full program in creative photography, when the time comes.
6. Do you travel?
Currently I travel within the Ottawa Valley area only. Any other travel comes at an expense, and can be discussed via my contact page.
